From Vacant Clothing Factory to Innovative Tech Space

Opportunity

The War Horse Cities team saw an opportunity to develop and modernize a former clothing factory near Hollins Market. The three-story, 43,371-square-foot industrial space was built in 1925 and had shown plenty of potential. With expansive open floor plans and plenty of natural light, it was an ideal foundation for a workspace with a collaborative environment.

Approach

The team broke ground on the redevelopment project in 2019 after acquiring the property. The space was destined to become an innovative working environment in close and convenient proximity to Hollins Market and other areas of downtown. The building could also accommodate a diverse and expansive portfolio of tenant types.

Results

At the heart of groundbreaking work is collaboration. The finished product at 1020 Pratt Street will exude the historic charm of the old factory building in conjunction with the modern feel of a renovated office and tech space. We're excited to see how this tech and office space will be utilized in the future and add value to the city.
