Hall San Francisco Closing Party
3 years ago, we opened the Hall as a temporary activation of the formerly abandoned Hollywoods Billiards until our plans for mixed-use housing could be approved. To make the best use of the space, we opened a pop-up food hall that offered brick and mortar food stalls for some of the city’s most popular food truck entrepreneurs to serve their unique, affordable options to hungry members of the local community. We also added communal seating and a stage for talks, meetings, and live performances. Respecting the building’s rich history, we designed around the existing architecture and left the bones of the structure almost as they were when we found them. Now, all of that has come to an end to make way for much needed apartments in the community.
We are so grateful to have served the Tenderloin community for the past three years. Many people described the Hall not only as a great place to go for happy hour or to grab a bite to eat, but as a second home. To the community- thank you for allowing us to create something special with you. Please be on the look out for the future development at 1028 Market St. Check out these photos from the Hall Closing Party!
